Happy Friday Everyone!
I hope all of you had a safe and memory filled 4th of July. Since we are just over halfway through with our summer training, I thought it would be a good idea to try the WODs we did during our first six weeks to see if we can better our rounds or times. It's fun to see hard work paying off, and this is a direct way to see the fruits of our labor.
This week's WOD is Annie: 50-40-30-20-10; double-unders and sit-ups
Just to recap, you do 50 double-unders, then 50 sit-ups...40 double-unders, then 40 sit-ups...30 double-unders, then 30 sit-ups...all the way down through 10. I think you girls remember. Most of you have said this is one of your favorites.
Have a great workout and weekend!
Panch
I have been working on the double unders during the finishers and such but I am still hoping to improve. I struggled with them this morning and my time was 8:49 which was a little faster than the beginning of summer but the double unders slowed me down! Happy Friday everyone :) can't believe we are over half way through summer!
ReplyDeleteMy time was 7:22. Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer, miss you all! :)
ReplyDeleteHello Hello! These workouts will be my first round of all the WODs due to my back recovery & PT restrictions, but man does it feel good to be able to post on this again!
ReplyDeleteAnyways, my Annie time was 8:08... double-unders felt weak, but situps were great!
Miss you all!
6:23! Half way there!!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how you guys did this one so fast. Good job! I got 9 minutes 2 seconds.
ReplyDeleteMy time was 7:29! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! How do you girls get done so fast! My time was 10:13...faster than I've ever done it before, but still didn't break 10 minutes. Good job everybody!
ReplyDeleteI'm attaching a video link to this workout just because many of you have said it's your favorite. There is a video link on how to do a proper sit-up according to CrossFit Reebok (I learned something new here). The shoulders are supposed to go lower than the hips. Interesting to me.

I think some of you could be future CrossFitters! I'm pumped that I'm one of your coaches!
ReplyDeleteI explained in this week's post why I am so late on this one, but I did it, and this one is always a great one. My time was 6:09. It's almost time for season! YAY!
ReplyDeleteI also want to add that I watched the videos that Jamie posted and I don't do it with an ab mat because I don't have one of those handy, but ,what I try to do to make sure I am doing good sit ups is to not use my arms at all by crossing them over my chest and hanging onto my shirt, like how we do it when we do our sit up challenge on testing day. I also make sure my stomach comes all the way up and touches my legs and that both my shoulder blades hit the ground before I come up again. I am sure some of you also don't do it with the ab mat so don't feel alone. I had no idea after all these years that these were supposed to be done with an ab mat? but like I said, not all of us have access to everything for workouts but we make do! Keep pushing yourselves and making sure to focus on form over time! Go BUCS!
ReplyDeleteHi ladies and Pancho! My time for this was 7:52. I can't seem to do double unders consecutively so I take a regular jump inbetween each one. Can't wait to see all of you soon!! :)
