WOD #1 Crossfit Challenge:
Ok girls, I did this workout this morning. I figured I better lead the way since I didn't see any posts. I completed 15 rounds in 20 minutes. My best is 17 rounds, which makes me feel a little inadequate because the top 50 women in the Crossfit world don't finish below 20 rounds! So go get em!
I've posted two links. One is a video of the "Cindy" workout, which is WOD #1. The other is of pull-ups with a band to help with modification if you need it. I know pull-ups can be tough, so use a band if you'd like to get started.

WIN THE DAY!

ReplyDeleteHey Coach Pancho,
ReplyDeleteI did the Crossfit workout yesterday and I got 31 rounds in 20 minutes. I was watching the videos today and I'm not sure if I did the pull-ups correct. We didn't have bands nor did I have a partner so I used an assisted pull-up machine. I hope that's okay.
I read the intro page to say that we had to do one of the WODs every Friday so I picked #5.

Great work Jaclyn and Kristine! We'll try to all do the same WOD each Friday, and I'm glad you guys dove in. Sounds like you both did great! 31 rounds is amazing Jaclyn with "Cindy!" You're touching on the record books for women. You might be a true Crossfit athlete. Kristine...your workout is a tough one and could be done once a week to build endurance. Did you run a 400 instead of a 200? Your time looks more like a 400 time....great work both of you.
ReplyDeleteHey Coach Pancho and Bodecker! (and team!)
ReplyDeleteI got 15 rounds in 20 minutes on the WOD #1. Good Luck with your workouts!
Hey everyone!
ReplyDeleteI got 19 rounds in 20 mins on WOD #1. I used a pull-up bar and had a friend lightly assist me. I completed my first round in about 30 seconds and then added around 10 seconds or less after each following round.
I feel that everyone will get a different number of rounds based on how much assistance was used :)
Keep up the hard work ladies! Let's get after that NWC TITLE!!!
Whitney :)
Hey guys,
ReplyDeleteI just want to introduce myself and say hi! I am so excited to meet you all in couple months! I am so thankful to get the opportunity to play college volleyball and be a part of the Whitworth team. Can't wait to get to know you all. :)
And I got 14 in 20 minutes on the first WOD. The push-ups killed me!!
Ok again I keep screwing this up! I tried to submit on Friday and couldn't get it to work! Hope this works!! Miss you all!
ReplyDeleteI did 19 rounds in 20 minutes and the pull-ups really made me sore!!
Hey gals!
ReplyDeleteI think these workouts are serving their purpose! I did "Cindy" on Friday morning and am STILL sore. I got 19 rounds in 20 minutes. Can't wait until season to see how much better we get!
Miss you all and hope you are having fantastic summers so far!
Loves,
Briu
Whitney, Maddye, Elizabeth and Brenna...awesome job! Whitney had a good point...everyone will get a different number of rounds based off of the assistance you get. No worries though. Bottom line is that you're working hard and feeling some pride when done. I like the phrase "WIN THE DAY!" you girls are doing great so far. Let's get everybody on board.
ReplyDeleteSide note...Whitney, you played for my good friend Bala Spencer at Kamehameha Maui I believe. I miss that guy.
Hello team!
ReplyDeleteI did 16 rounds in 20 minutes on WOD #1.
Hello dear team :) I got 16 rounds in 20 minutes on WOD #1

ReplyDeleteHi Ladies,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for entering the conversation late. It took me longer than I want to admit to figure out this blog thing. It turns out that you need to have an account and be signed in before they let you do anything. :) I just wanted to congratulate all of you on completing your first cross-fit challenge. Great Job All! Especially you 19-rounders. :) I will also be posting week 5 challenge results soon. Keep up the hard work! You will appreciate your built up strength and endurance come pre-season time!
Oops sorry I am technologically challenged and just now figure out how to comment and follow the blog, but I got 17 rounds from the WOD 1 :)
ReplyDeleteYeah same here with Abi haha! I got 14 rounds for WOD 1... you're all crazy fit! Love being part of such an athletic team! You go girls!
ReplyDeleteI have issues with this blog thing I thought I had it figured out and then I did something wrong last week haha ! I have it figured out now I hope! So for WOD #3 with the double unders and sit ups I did all the reps in 8min. 49 seconds! It was actually fun! Hope all is well!
